i did something like this before where we had a list of like 30 items and we’d have to come up w/art for each piece, i did it but then never followed up and got the final book. hrm. this also sounds fun, but a full moleskine of sketches (you get a blank moleskine w/a bar code and theme and you have until january 15th to fill it then send it back and all the sketchbooks go on tour in galleries and museums. at the end they will be permanently housed at the brooklyn art library, and they’ll digitize your book!) i can barely finish unpacking, hehe. a treehouse grows in the west village

i think about where i could raise kids in this city and fort greene and the west village always come to mind. check out this treehouse in this backyard!! on 12th street.

i know people hate on her, but i was at bloomie’s and saw this lovely lovely jacket and of course it was elizabeth and james. no matter what people say, those twins have got a wicked sense of style. they’ve started pretty much every trend (including the braided look) and i feel like they don’t get the credit they deserve. or maybe they do.

started out the weekend by getting inspired at repop. finally had brekkie at smooch. and made the trek to fort tilden! (possibly missed witnessing a dead body, eek) brunch at extra virgin and froyo at bloomie’s with my very 1st ny roommate. all in all a pretty chill weekend.

dammit! the worst thing about living in this city is always missing out on something. always. i can’t believe i didn’t get tickets to hitrecord’s film night at pianos (i still can’t believe i missed the dead man’s bones show). and i can’t believe i could’ve taken a workshop w/phillippe! i see wire walkers at hudson river park all the time and i always think i could totally do that. it’s a superficial confidence i have, that i can do anything i set my mind to (win the amazing race, complete a triathlon, deep sea diving w/sharks, etc.), but i’m pretty sure i could rock out on a wire.
